Hey, I'm Nate. I started out overseas (lots of lore there), lived through a few coups, have been kicking around tech for a long time now. Have founded. Have led product teams. Have built AI stuff at Amazon and other places.

Lately, I’ve found a bit of a groove chronicling the story of generative AI on TikTok, YouTube, and Substack. It’s been amazing fun to tell a bit of the story of the greatest revolution since the internet (at least).

Every day I publish my take on whatever's happening in AI through my newsletter, TikTok, and podcast. No fluff, just my honest perspective on what it all means for people trying to build careers and navigate this weird new world.

When I'm not deep in AI-land, I'm probably hiking somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, traveling somewhere new, or watching the Seahawks or the Wolverines. I live in Seattle where the coffee is excellent, the weather is questionable, and everyone's got an opinion about the future.

I'm also working on a book about AI and a few other projects somewhere in the product kitchen (and yes, I do cook as well).

My philosophy: try stuff. Be ok failing at it. AI is the mother of all power laws and rewards those who are willing to jump in and learn by doing. Learn a bit today, move along that curve, and good luck surfing into this wild new future. (And no, I don’t think AI is going to be SkyNet.)
